MUSIC MENTORSHIP SERIES
October 23, 2025 - December 4, 2025
This Fall, Girls Who Listen will host an 6-week Mentorship Series designed to equip young women with the knowledge, tools, and networks needed to thrive in the music industry. Each week alternates between an industry-focused mentorship/masterclass session and a career development workshop, ensuring that participants gain both insider knowledge and practical professional skills. The series will take place virtually via Zoom from October 23, 2025 – December 4, 2025 (4PM PT/7PM ET). All sessions will be recorded and made available to participants who are unable to attend live.

PROGRAM DETAILS
Over the course of six weeks, the program will feature masterclass conversations and career development workshops led by music industry professionals. The masterclasses take place live every Thursday at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET and follow a panel-style format for the first 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute networking session in Zoom breakout rooms. During this time, students can move freely between rooms to ask additional questions and connect with speakers. All sessions are recorded and made available for participants to access later.

PROGRAM GOALS
Provide mentees with a 360° view of the music industry through real project case studies.
Offer direct mentorship from executives across diverse departments.
Build practical career skills like networking, pitching, and branding.
Create a supportive community and pipeline for young women in music and entertainment.
MENTORSHIP REQUIREMENTS
Attend all scheduled masterclass sessions and workshops.
Actively engage during sessions by participating in discussions and networking opportunities.
Keep your camera on during sessions to help foster community and connection.
Participate in group chats, meetups, and program discussions.
ELIGIBILITY
- Must have a strong interest in the music business and plan to pursue a career as an industry professional. This program is not intended for producers songwriters, engineers, artists, or similar paths).
- Open to college seniors in their final semester/year and recent graduates.
- Must be able to commit to the full duration of the program.
APPLICATION PROCESS
- Submit Online Application – Include personal details, answer questions, and upload resume
- Final Selection – Mentee’s will be chosen based on their passion, career goals, and readiness for the program.
MENTORSHIP PROGRAM DUES
Participation in the program requires a one-time membership due of $50. This contribution helps cover program resources, exclusive workshop opportunities, and community-building experiences. Our goal is to provide fellows with meaningful mentorship, hands-on industry exposure, and valuable networking opportunities.

The college representative program is for current undergraduate and graduate students with a declared major or minor in Communication Arts and/or Music. This program is built for students seeking work within major record labels, management companies, brands, streaming services, and more. Through project based opportunities, reps will gain hands on experience, learn the importance of networking, and build great relationships with fellow peers and music professionals. Please note that this is an internship, and credit can be provided upon request.
